Hi and welcome…

Thanks for stopping by! If you’re a long-time reader looking for an update on new Heat Wave or Pandora’s Playground releases, I wish I could tell you new books are on the way, but I can’t. Unfortunately, it’s still too difficult to open myself up enough to write the sexy, emotional stories my readers expect and deserve.

If you’re not familiar with my personal story, here’s a little background… Not long after I started writing Saving Me, my husband was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He was my best friend, my biggest fan and supporter, and had an endless well of faith and belief in me. After receiving the devastating news, I remember walking around our yard and praying he’d live long enough to see our hard work and sacrifices pay off in the form of a published book. My prayers were answered, and we were blessed with nine more years together, which saw nine published books as well as the NYT and USA Today bestseller lists.

In October 2016, when his health continued to decline, I put my career on hold so I could devote myself to taking care of him. I’m incredibly grateful I made that choice, because five months later he had a stroke and in another month was gone. It’s been two years since his passing, and I still find it difficult to write happily-ever-afters.

However, I do have some good news! For the time being, I’ve taken my writing in a different direction and am working on two non-fiction books!

The first, Giving Up Is Not An Option, is my story. It’s not a self-help or a how-to, because goodness knows most of the time I feel like I’m just bumbling around, trying to figure things out the best I can, and usually not doing such a great job of it. But even though my life has been filled with challenges, tragedy, and heartache, I’ve also experienced epic love and innumerable blessings. My hope and deepest desire is that others facing similar struggles (sexual abuse, abandonment, addiction, grief… just to name a few) will find encouragement and inspiration in the words of someone who’s walked a similar path and will find the strength and determination to keep moving forward.

The second book, Messages From Heaven, is about my friendship with the incredibly sweet, kind, and loving Reverend Millie, who as a minister and medium has taught me about life on the “free side” and made losing my husband bearable. In Messages, I share important, life-changing messages I’ve received not only from my husband, but from other family members on the “free side.” I hope these messages will bring peace and comfort to others, as well as the reassurance that our loved ones are always nearby, ready and willing to lend a helping a hand whenever they’re called on.

Thanks for taking the time to read the update! If you’re interested in hearing about the new releases, please sign up for my newsletter and/or follow me on social media and my author page on Amazon.

I wish you much peace and love!
